About Rocberg

The intelligence layer for high-trust sectors

Independent, rigorous, and forward-looking. We exist to give serious people a clear read on markets where good data is genuinely hard to find.

Rocberg produces independent compensation benchmarks, market intelligence, and sector analysis for the unmanned aerial systems and space industries — sourced directly from the people working in them, never estimated or modelled from secondary sources.

01

What we publish

We collect data directly from operators, engineers and programme leaders, then read it with people who have done the work themselves. Our flagship publication is an annual compensation and market intelligence survey, now in its first edition across seven jurisdictions.

Our current focus is unmanned aerial systems, with deep coverage of larger operational platforms and the talent behind them. Over time, our coverage extends to space, orbital and satellite operations, and other data-rich, security-sensitive sectors as the underlying research matures.

02

How we work

Authority comes from restraint. We gather a sector-wide picture, verify it region by region, and publish plainly. Where we are not yet confident in a market, we say so and hold the briefing back rather than fill the gap with assumptions. That is the whole point of the firm.

03

Independent, by design

We sit alongside a small group of specialist, operator-led businesses, including the UAV talent specialist UAV Talent, but we are independent and our research is our own.

Our full relationships and editorial practices are set out in detail on our methodology page. We would rather be scrutinised than simply trusted.

Coverage — Now

Unmanned Aerial Systems

Compensation, talent flow, and team architecture across UAV software, flight operations, ISR, HAPS, BVLOS programmes, and defence-adjacent platforms.

Coverage — Expanding

Space, Orbital & Satellite Operations

Launch, in-orbit servicing, satellite operations, and ground segment talent markets. Research expanding as proprietary data deepens.

Grounded in Operational Experience

Built by people who have been inside the work, not just studied it from outside

Rocberg draws on contributors with direct operational experience across UAV programme delivery, ISR, and high-altitude platform systems — alongside specialist researchers and survey methodologists. This combination of practitioner judgement and research discipline is what allows Rocberg to ask the right questions, not just process the answers.
